After you have contacted your network operator or service provider you will be sent a text message containing your unique ID, password and settings for instant messaging.

Settings:
To enter the Instant messages menu while still offline, press Menu > Messages > Instant messages. Activate a service and select Connect. settings. Select:

• Configuration: Scroll to the set you wish to activate and press Select.
• Account to see the accounts provided by the service provider. If more than one account is displayed, choose the one you wish to use.
• User ID to view or edit the User ID.
• Password to enter a password.
