Enhanced GPRS, also called EDGE, makes network connection faster than ever before. With EDGE, data connectivity of up to 118.4 kbps downlink rates (multislot 2+1) can be achieved. However, the data rate is network dependent.

In practice, this means faster data when operating in faster networks. This means that you can enjoy more versatile services and communication using your Nokia 6810 messaging device. It gives you a faster, more effective way to browse and to send and receive e-mails, multimedia messages, photographs, and PC dial-up.

The Nokia 6810 device can tell by itself if you are in an EDGE area. If not, the device uses GPRS connections.
NOTE

Contact your network operator or service provider for availability and subscription to the EGPRS service.

NOTE

When the (E)GPRS connection is established, is shown at the top left of the device's screen.
