The instructions below provide information on creating either a
GSM data or GPRS connection in Windows 98.
Go to My Computer > Dial-up networking > Make new connection.
In the first window, you need to add the name for the connection
(you can choose freely). Then select a device from the list. (Nokia
6230 cable, Bluetooth or infrared).
In the third window, enter the phone number of your Internet
Service Provider.
In the final window, click Finish.
To change the properties of the connection later, right-click
the connection name on the list and select Properties.
Note:
If you have a problem making a connection, it may help to open
the Properties dialog of the dial-up connection, and
then on the General tab uncheck the box Use area code
and dialing properties. You should then add the whole number
(international code + area code + phone number) into the Phone
number box.
