Phone Calls

Speed dials To assign a number to a speed-dialing key, press Menu and select Contacts and Speed dials and scroll to the speed-dialing key number that you want. Press Assign, or if a number has already been assigned to the key, press Options and select Change. Press Search, and select first the name and then the number you want to assign. If the Speed dialing function is off, the phone asks whether you want to activate it. Making a call using speed dial: press the speed-dialing key that you want and then press . If Speed dialing is set to on, press and hold a speed-dialing key until the call is started. Two lines Select Line for outgoing calls, which is a network service, to select phone line 1 or 2, i.e. the subscriber number, for making calls. For example, you can have a private and a business line. For more information on availability, contact your network operator or service provider. If you select Line 2 and have not subscribed to this network service, you will not be able to make calls. However, calls on both lines can be answered regardless of the selected line. In standby mode, you can switch from one line to the other by pressing and holding . Using the loudspeaker The phone has a loudspeaker that allows you to use the phone handsfree during a call. Do not hold the phone to your ear during loudspeaker operation. To activate the loudspeaker during a call: Press Options and select Loudspeaker, or press Loudsp. if available. To deactivate the loudspeaker: Press Options and select Handset, or press Handset if available. Making a conference call Conference call is a network service that allows up to six people to participate in the same call. 1. Make a call to the first participant. 2. To make a call to a new participant, press Options and select New call. Key in the phone number, or search for it in the phone book, and press Call or . The first call is put on hold. 3. When the new call is answered, join the first participant to the call by pressing Options and selecting Conference. 4. To add a new participant to the call, repeat steps 2 and 3. 5. To have a private conversation with a participant: Press Options and select Private. Scroll to the desired participant and press OK. After the conversation, rejoin the conference call by pressing Options and selecting Conference. 6. To end the conference call, press .
