Installing

Installing the modem *.inf files for the Nokia 6220 and Nokia Modem Options The Modem *.inf files for the Nokia 6220 are installed automatically during PC Suite installation. During installation, you must select whether you want to install the modem as a cable connection, an infrared connection, or both. If you want to use a cable connection, you must then connect your phone to the PC using the connectivity cable DKU-5 and allow the PC to detect the port where the phone is connected. The Nokia Modem Options are installed automatically during PC Suite installation unless you unselect the Nokia Modem Options when you select which features you want to install with PC Suite. The necessary modem.inf files can also be downloaded from the Software section of www.nokia.com/support/phones/6220.

		You must have the correct cable drivers already installed on the PC before the PC can detect your phone. For information on this, please see the CD-ROM that came with your cable.
		Note
		If you are using Windows XP, you must update the driver manually. To do this, follow the instructions To install infrared Modem *.inf files below.
