To start an Instant Messaging conversation, you press Menu, select Messages, and select Instant messages and connect to the service. You can then start a converstaion in several ways.

  • You can select Conversations. The list of new and read messaging sessions or invitations to instant messaging during the currently active session is displayed. You scroll to a message or an invitation, and press Open to view a message.
  • You can select IM contacts. The contacts that you have added from the phone's contacts memory are displayed. Scroll to the contact with whom you would like to start instant messaging, and press Chat.
indicates that you have received a new message from a contact.
indicates an online contact and an offline contacts in the contact memory of the phone.
indicates a blocked contact.
  • You can select Groups and Public groups. The list of bookmarks to public groups provided by the network operator or service provider is displayed. To start a conversation, scroll to a group, and press Join. Enter the screen name that you want to use as a nickname in the conversation. When you have successfully joined in the group conversation, you can start a group session. You can also create a private group.

 

 

 



        NOTE
In standby mode, when you have connected to the chat service and you receive a new chat invitation, New invitation received is displayed. You can read the invitation and then accept or reject it
