Using your Nokia 3650 as a modem for your PC
You can use your Nokia 3650 as a modem for your PC. This will allow you to browse the Internet or your company's intranet or to access your e-mail while you are on the move. The connection can be made over HSCSD, GPRS or GSM data.
Note! In order to use your Nokia 3650 as a modem, check the installing section to set up the modem options.
To connect your Nokia 3650 to your PC, do the following:
- Go to Dial up networking (through My Computer > Control Panel).
- Either make a new connection or select an existing one, right click with your mouse and select Properties.
- Select Nokia 3650 from the drop-down list of modems and press OK.
- Double click your connection and dial-up networking should start to connect to your Internet Service Provider through your Nokia 3650.
If your phone does not respond, make sure that:
- Your phone is connected to your PC.
- No other applications using the com ports are open on your PC. Check the status bar to make sure that you do not have the connection manager for a PC Suite for another phone or handheld device (Pocket PC etc.). Also make sure that there is no active internal modem.
- Also check that there is no internal modem active.
