Multimedia Messaging (Network Service)

A multimedia message, or MMS, is a message that can contain text, one picture and one sound clip. Your Nokia 3200 phone supports multimedia messages of up to 100 kB in size.

Multimedia messaging supports the following formats:

  • Picture: JPEG, GIF, PNG, and BMP.
  • Sound: Scalable Polyphonic MIDI (SP-MIDI) and monophonic ringing tones.

You are not able to receive any multimedia messages if you have a call in progress, a game or Java™ application running, or an active service connection. The delivery of multimedia messages can fail for a variety of reasons, so do not rely solely upon them for essential communications.

Check the visual guides Creating and Sending a Multimedia Message and Receiving a Multimedia Message for further information about managing multimedia messages.
