Copying Data from another Nokia Phone

The Nokia Content Copier supports the following phones as source phones:

Nokia 5100
Nokia 6100
Nokia 6108
Nokia 6210

If you have one of the Nokia phones in the list above, it is very easy to transfer data to your new Nokia 3200 phone.

Here, data refers to:

  • Phone book
  • Calendar information
  • Profiles
  • Ease of use settings (call register lists, voice mailbox, phone book settings, any key answer)
  • Advanced functions (WAP, GPRS)
  • Fun functions (welcome text, radio settings)
  • Messages

To transfer data to your new Nokia 3200 phone:

  1. Open the Content Copier application.
  2. Click Next on the welcome note.
  3. Select the action you want to perform (Copy data from a phone to a compatible PC) and click Next.
  4. Connect your other Nokia phone to your a compatible PC. After your phone is connected, click Next.
  5. Content Copier now copies the data from your other phone to your compatible PC. After it has finished, click Next.
  6. Select Save data and browse for the location where you want to save the .ncc (Nokia Content Copier) files on the PC. Click Next.
  7. Click New Action and select Copy data from a compatible PC to a phone. Click Next.
  8. Connect your Nokia 3200 phone to your compatible PC via infrared or cable. When the Nokia Content Copier has registered the connection with your Nokia 3200 phone, click Next.
  9. You now need to select which data you want to copy to your Nokia 3200 phone. Select the location where you saved the ncc files by using the Select Source Folder button. Also, select the data that you want to transfer to your Nokia 3200 phone by checking the boxes. You can see the information about each data type by selecting it, and you can customize which data is transferred to your Nokia 3200 phone by clicking the Details button. When you are ready, click Next.
  10. The Nokia Content copier will now transfer the data to your Nokia 3200 phone.
