To synchronise your calendar and phone book information for the first time, you must first set up the synchronisation task.
To do this:
- Connect your Nokia 3100 to a compatible PC via cable and open
the Nokia PC Sync application.

- If this is the first time you have used PC Sync with your
phone, you will be asked to select the PC application you want
to synchronise with (the one that you use for your calendar
and contacts information) and click OK. The
Nokia PC Sync Properties window will now open.
- On the Summary tab you can see the current
synchronization settings.
- To enter general synchronization settings, click the General
tab. Click Advanced button to enter more advanced
options. Think carefully about whether you want your Nokia 3100
to overwrite the PC or vice versa in case of a conflict. You
should consider which calendar or contacts application you keep
most up to date and select that one as the master.
- On the Calendar/To-do tab, you can specify
settings for synchronizing Calendar/To-do items.
- On the Contacts tab, you can specify settings
for synchronizing contacts *.
- To enter PC application-specific settings, click the tab with
the name of the PC application that you selected.
- Click OK.
- To run the synchronisation task double click the PC Sync icon
in your task bar (see figure 1) **.
Note *: You will not be able to edit
Calendar/To-do or Contacts settings
if you did not choose to include them in the synchronisation on
the General tab.
Note **: To change the PC Sync settings after
you have configured them, right click the PC Sync icon on your
task bar with your mouse and select Properties
(see figure 1)
