You can install various types of Java applications (for example games, travel dictionaries, personal data management applications to your Nokia 3100.

To do this:

1. Download the Java application file types to a compatible PC. The file types that you need to install an application to your 3100 phone are .jad and .jar files. If you download the applications from the Internet, make sure that you get both .jad and .jar files and save them in the same folder on your PC.
2. Connect your phone to the PC.
3. Open Nokia Application Installer.
4. On the left-hand side, browse for the java file you wish install and select it.
5. You can now click the install arrow in the centre of the screen.
6. The application will now be installed on the PC.
