MMS Settings

We highly recommend that you install the connection settings to your Nokia 2650 phone using a smart message, Over the Air (OTA). Go to Nokia.com/phonesettings and follow the instructions.

In some cases you may need to configure the settings manually. In that case, check the next chapter, WAP and GPRS Settings. In addition to the connection settings, there are a number of other details you might want to customize.

Basic Settings

These are the basic settings for multimedia messaging features of your phone.

Press Menu in standby mode, and select Messages > Message settings > Multimedia msgs. Select

  1. Save sent messages and Yes to set the phone to save sent multimedia messages in the Sent items folder. If you select No, the sent messages are not saved.
  2. Delivery reports to request the network to send delivery reports for your messages (network service).
  3. Scale image down to select whether images are scaled to a smaller size when inserted into a message.
  4. Default slide timing to define how long each slide in your presentations is shown by default.
  5. Allow multimedia reception to allow (Yes) or prevent (No) the reception of multimedia messages or to allow it only in your home network (In home network).
  6. Incoming multimedia messages to set the phone to automatically retrieve received multimedia messages (Retrieve), or select Reject if you do not want to receive multimedia messages. This setting is not shown if Allow multimedia reception is set to No.
  7. Connection settings to define the browser settings for retrieving newly received multimedia messages. Activate the connection set where you want to save the settings and then edit them. Check the next chapter, WAP and GPRS Settings, for further details.
  8. Allow adverts to allow or prevent the reception of advertisements. This setting is not shown if Allow multimedia reception is set to No or Incoming multimedia messages is set to Reject.
