You can activate the automatic keypad lock so that you do not have to lock it manually every time. The automatic keyguard activates when the phone is in standby mode and the selected time delay expires.
Adjust the keyguard settings
- Press Menu in standby mode, and select Settings and Keyguard settings.
- Enter Automatic keyguard by pressing Select.
- Choose On.
- Key in the time in minutes and seconds after Set delay: appears on the display. The maximum value for the delay is 59 minutes 59 seconds and the minimum is 10 seconds.
To activate the keyguard code
- Enter Keyguard code by pressing Select.
- Key in the security code.
- Choose On.
After you activate the keyguard code, you will be asked to input the security code each time you try to unlock the keypad.

You can still dial emergency numbers (e.g. 112 or 911) when the keypad is locked.
