In this section we give you some practical tips to make the most of your Nokia 1100 phone in everyday use. First, some shortcut keys to save your fingers (and time): Quick search for a name in Contacts: Press in standby mode, key in the first letter of the name. Scroll with or to find the name you want. To activate a profile quickly in standby mode or during a call: Press the key quickly, scroll to the desired profile, and press OK. To have the flashlight continuously on: Press twice to switch the flashlight on and press once to switch it off. Locking the keypad will switch the flashlight automatically off. To set the predictive text input on or off when writing text: Press twice. General shortcuts: The menus, submenus and setting options are numbered. These numbers are called shortcut numbers. To use these: In standby mode, press Menu and key in quickly (within three seconds) the shortcut number of the menu you want to access. Repeat this for submenus.
